In the church grounds free tea at 3.30pm and a free BBQ after 5/6pm.

The shared lunch will be a picnic in the ‘Nordpark’ after the service. Please bring your packed lunch and join us.

What is a Christian?

The New Testament definition of a Christian is a person ‘in Christ’. It is necessary to insist therefore, that according to Jesus and his apostles to be a Christian is not just to have been baptized, to belong to the church, to receive holy communion, to believe in the doctrines of the creed or to try to follow the standards of the Sermon on the Mount. Baptism and holy communion, church membership, creed and conduct are all part and parcel of living as a Christian, but they can form and sometimes have formed an empty casket from which the jewel has disappeared. The jewel is Jesus Christ himself. To be a Christian is primarily to live in union with Jesus Christ, as a result of which baptism, belief and behaviour slot naturally into place.

Old spectacles and used stamps

Last call! Please bring any spectacles and old glasses to church next Sunday [19/7] so that Stephen can take them to the UK where they will be recycled to help people in developing countries.

Used postage stamps [should have at least a quarter to half inch surround; please do not soak the stamps off their envelopes yourself]: Please fill the box in church so that Stephen can send them to the Intercontinental Church Society who use the sale of these stamps to support chaplaincy work in Europe.

coffee after the service & eaten in the garden weather permitting. Please
bring sandwiches, tray bakes, sausage rolls etc, food that can be eaten with
